Microblading Eyebrows

WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROBLADING?

Microblading is permanent makeup/cosmetic tattooing procedure that dramatically corrects or fully reconstructs lost eyebrows.
Eyebrow Microblading is performed by the manual deposit of pigment under the top and second layer of the skin by a microblading pen, NO MACHINE.

Unlike solid permanent makeup and brow treatment microblading techniques involve drawing individual, crisp hair strokes and sharp line that look like your natural hair.
The blade of microblading pen is disposable, they are individual micro-needles that put together like a blade and it’s 3 times thinner than the needles used for body tattooing, it’s painless, perfect, and personalized and natural. Usually, the prices range from $500-$1800 depending on location.

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
It will last 1-2 years or longer but it depends on the age, skin type, life style and after care.
Age: Average young people from 19-39 cells turns over faster and the immune system is stronger.
Skin type: Oily skin, facial chemical peel, use retina, makeup routine.
Life style: workout, tanning, outdoor sun bathing.
After care: Use sunblock, wear sun hat, sun glasses on a sunny day, do not use glycolic on the treatment area.

DOES IT HURT OR BLEED DURING THE PROCEDURE?
This procedure is different from tattooing because it uses a manual device not a machine. The blade of a microblading pen creates a light shallow cut like a hair stroke following the real eyebrows hair direction and inserts the pigment inside the hair stroke. It’s like a scratch or pulling, tweezing the eyebrow hair.
The procedure can be a slight discomfort for those that are sensitive but it is almost painless. Simple relief cream (pre numb cream) is used to repair and numb your client’s skin before you start, most recommend NOT to pre-numb so it’s easier to deposit pigment and give the client a fine, clean, sharp hair stroke but followed by a liquid anesthetic during the procedure after the skin I scratched, the pain will be very minimal.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE PROCEDURE?
The process takes about 1.5-2 hours at the initial appointment and at least one touch-up 4-8 weeks after the initial treatment, will be needed to get the final result because the body heals itself so sometimes it reject the pigment out from the skin and misses hair stroke here and there. The healed result will not wash off and usually last for a couple of years but they can be maintained if you refresh the hair stroke with touch-ups, usually 8 months to once a year.

WHAT IS EYEBROW MICROSHADING?
Microshading is combination between microblading and shading techniques that can be used by hand tools with needles, blades or machine. It’s a combination of creating hair strokes then filling those space between the hair strokes with pigment by soft and light taping to give a natural powdered look. The technique depends on the saturation that a client wants to have. Clients also use this to achieve a fuller looking brow without filling or penciling it in later.

WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICROBLADING?
Average young to middle aged people with healthy skin. Also clients that have no hair such as alopecia and certain rare cases.

WHO IS NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR MICROBLAIDNG?
Diabetic type 1
Oily skin
Older clients with very thin skin
Clients who prefer a more solid, make-up type of look at all times. Microblading will look more like real hair. Shading can be done for a more powdery look but, overall, it will be a more natural effect.
Pregnant or nursing
Viral infection or diseases
Skin irritations or psoriasis near the treatment
Sick, cold, flu, pink eye, hepatitis B/C, AIDS...
Botox injected 2 weeks before the initial (must be 6 weeks before/after the procedure)
Accutane (must be off 6 months)

Clients with existing permanent make-up that is still very visible and/or the wrong or undesired color. In these cases we will need to correct the color or remove some pigment first, before microblading, as this cannot always be done right on top of old permanent make-up and still give the best, most natural results.

Clients who have a tendency/history of keloid scarring or hyperpigmentation.

LOSS OF COLOR OVER TIME

Blondes fade faster than others
Exposure to sunlight or UV light (sun damage and loss of elasticity)
Most tattoo inks/permeant makeup pigments will fade and blur overtime but never fade away completely or removing tattoos through lasers may lead to discolored patch of skin that can be more visible as we age.
Body breaks down foreign bodies when possible and eliminates them.
Use of glycolic, Retina-A and other new products for wrinkle treatments are having an adverse effect on permanent makeup.
Oil, makeup and cleaning products, acne medication and cream since they can strip color from your tattoo.
The younger/healthier you are, the faster your cells turn over.
